Please note that the game's base language is French. If you are able to understand this language, it should be treated as the main language.

The English translation has been checked to match the french one pretty closely, so it can still be used if you cannot understand French.

Note: the french translation is now locked down and requires to ask for a certain role on the Discord server. Too many people didn't read.

Contributing as a non-registered user

You can suggest translations.

Suggesting a translation

You should go to the Other languages tab to see all other translations for the line you are currently viewing.

To make a suggestion, modify the text that appears in the field, and once you feel it is good, you can press Suggest. This will send the suggestions for other users to vote on.

When suggesting a translation, please keep all of the special tags that are used. Tags are usually delimited by [] or {} and correspond to specific Ren'Py instructions.

Contributing as a registered user

You can choose to register an account at any time.

Registering an account allows you to vote on other user's suggestions. When enough positive votes are gathered on a suggestion, it will be automatically accepted into the translation.

You can also request to add a new translation using Tools > Start new translation. This will send a request to start a new translation project to the development team. At first we'll focus major languages, so do not be disappointed if your suggestion is not immediately acted upon :)

Contributing as a reviewer

Reviewer roles allow for being able to manage the strings directly.

In order to validate a string, you just need to uncheck the Needs editing box, and once you save the change, it will be marked as translated.

You can also manage suggestions. So you are able to remove the ones that don't fit the original game texts, or accept the ones that do.
